Well, at least we got the best of Saturday's weather! In the morning we walked over to Pheonix park where the annual Bloom Festival was set up. Lots to see: Gorgeous flowers, immaculate show gardens, interesting demonstrations, and tasty tidbits at the huge market they'd set up. The gardens were so lovely that my thumb went green with envy. William's favourite moment was when we found the farm animals they'd brought in (cows, pigs, sheep with their lambs, and chickens). We left the park just in time to avoid the huge rainstorm that had been looming on the horizon all day. Even though we didn't have to walk in the rain Will and I now both have bad head colds so we've spent the rest of the weekend indoors. At least being couch bound meant we got to watch Her Majesty's Thames River Pageant yesterday. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the old girl; she must have been freezing. She was very cheerful considering the weather and it certainly didn't dim the crowd's enthusiasm either.
